Terms & Conditions of Hire

1. Identification & Security

  • All hires require a valid UK Photo Driving License and a recent utility bill (dated within 3 months) matching the delivery address.

  • We reserve the right to refuse hire if ID cannot be verified.

2. Payment & Deposits

  • The hire fee and a refundable security deposit must be paid in full before or upon delivery.

  • Deposits are returned within 24 hours of collection, provided the machine is undamaged and clean.

3. Fuel & Cleaning

  • The machine is delivered with a full tank of white diesel. It must be returned full. A refueling charge of £2.50 per litre applies otherwise.

  • Please return the machine in a clean state. Excessive mud or set concrete will incur a £30 cleaning fee.

4. Underground Services (CRITICAL)

  • The Hirer is solely responsible for locating and marking all underground services (including but not limited to gas, water, electricity, and telecommunications) before digging.

  • We accept no liability for any damage caused to underground services, or any subsequent costs or injuries arising from such damage.

  • We strongly recommend the use of a CAT scanner before commencing work.

5. Damage & Loss

  • The customer is responsible for the machine from delivery until collection.

  • Any damage beyond "fair wear and tear" (e.g., smashed lights, broken glass, or structural damage) will be deducted from the deposit or invoiced.

  • In the event of theft, the customer must provide a Police Crime Reference Number immediately.

6. Safe Usage

  • Only the designated hirer should operate the machine.

  • The machine must not be moved from the delivery address without our written consent.

  • The machine must be operated in accordance with the safety briefing provided at handover.

7. Delivery & Collection

  • While we strive for "Rapid Response," delivery times are estimates.

  • If we cannot access the machine for a pre-arranged collection, an additional "Failed Collection" fee will apply
